* Performs duties and responsibilities related to Financial Reporting and Analysis
* Assists both manager and the officer in the monthly analysis of reasonableness of account balances prior to closing of the books.
* Assists in the preparation of monthly financial reporting package for head office and local requirements.
* Assists in the preparation of the consolidation package to be submitted to head office.
* Assists and prepares financial schedules and analyses required by management other than the regular items provided for in the monthly reporting package.
* Analyzes and prepares accounting memos and pro-forma accounting entries to support accounting treatment of transactions.
* Assists both manager and officer in obtaining accounting standard updates and preparation of necessary presentation or reading material.
* Leads and ensures together with the manager and officer that all external audit requirements are coordinated with concerned sections across all PSPI departments.
* Performs post-audit review of Accounting and Finance processes on a monthly basis to ensure SOX compliance. Likewise, facilitates smooth audit of both GRM and BDO auditors on a quarter and annual basis.
* Leads and ensures that SOX findings/assessments on Finance processes, if any, are disposed of accordingly and within agreed timeline.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors Degree in Accountancy, CPA preferred
* At least 1 year combined experience in general accounting, financial reporting and audit
* Knowledge in Philippine GAAP / PFRS, US GAAP and SOX compliance an advantage
* Knowledge in MS Office applications
* Familiarity with computerized accounting system
* Possesses analytical and auditing skills
* Good written and oral communication skills.
