Convergys Philippines announces the dedication of its seventh integrated contact center facility in Metro Manila. On hand locally to dedicate Convergys’ UP-Ayala TechnoHub contact center is Quezon City Mayor, the Honorable Sonny Belmonte and Convergys Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Clark Handy.

In a short period of three months, Convergys has also announced the opening of its Cebu i3 facility in Cebu City and the Nuvali TechnoHub facility in Santa Rosa , Laguna. These new Convergys contact centers will all be officially dedicated today from the Nuvali TechnoHub facility simultaneously by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Convergys President and CEO Dave Dougherty, and other senior executives in attendance. Employees and gathered dignitaries can witness the dedications of Convergys’ newest facilities on huge television screens showing simultaneous feeds from all three facilities via satellite transmission.

The UP-Ayala Technohub facility, with over 57,000 square feet of space, provides both general support and advanced technical help desk services to a variety of Convergys clients via traditional voice calling, e-mail, and Web chat as well as “back office” application and document processing.

Convergys’ now employs approximately 11,000 contact center agents in Metro Manila.

“While we officially inaugurate our 10th, 11th, and 12th contact center facilities in the presence of the Honorable President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, we must take this time to thank our dedicated employees for their continued support and hard work,” said Dougherty. “As we strive to meet the needs of our clients across the world, it is their dedication for which we can attribute our success in the Philippines .”

“Convergys offers its clients a wide choice of options for locating their customer management operations. Many of our US-based clients continually request to have their world-class customer service support come from the Philippines ,” said Marife Zarmora, Convergys Vice President and Country Manager. “As we dedicate our facilities today, we also celebrate the opening of our seventh contact center in Metro Manila. I look forward to the opening of our next two Metro Manila facilities, still under construction, in the coming months.”

Within five years, Convergys has established 12 contact centers in the Philippines – seven located in Metro Manila, three in Cebu City, one in Bacolod City, and one in Santa Rosa, Laguna. In May of 2008, Convergys announced the addition of five new integrated contact centers located throughout the country. The new sites include Cebu Asiatown i3, UP Ayala Land Techno Hub, Nuvali, San Lazaro, and Glorietta.

Convergys closely integrates all of its facilities into Convergys’ Global Assurance Network. This gives Convergys control of its end-to-end operations and processes, and assures high redundancy and flexibility for our clients.

Convergys Corporation is hiring for many different positions in the Philippines . Please submit résumés to philippinesrecruitment@convergys.com
